Powerline is produced by a group of experienced lawyers, who comment on public policy and current events, as well as sports, music, and other areas of interest. Overall, they are very well informed and their predictions are usually pretty good. However, they really missed the boat on the 2016 election, and there are still occasional flashes of never-Trumpism clouding their opinions, especially from Paul Mirengoff. We rate Powerline as Informative.
Media site dedicated to the debate over global warming and climate change
WUWT is a highly technical resource for learning about global warming. While there is active debate on many topics, there is also a dedication to accuracy at the foundation of all articles. There are occasional forays into other areas of science and technology as well. There are several official contributors and invited guests, with frequent cross posts from other climate related web sites. We give them our highest rating for a Journal, as we find their content and approach to be Rigorous.
Political cartoon
Day by Day is a humorous and entertaining, albeit occasionally risqué, revue and reporting on current events. The cast of characters includes people from all walks of life and political persuasions, but there is a decidedly conservative outlook from a refreshing point of view. We rate Day by Day as Pertinent, our highest rating for accuracy in a political cartoon.
Founded by Andrew Breitbart
Breitbart is a full featured media website, covering everything from entertainment to technology. While there is a definite right-leaning bias in their coverage, they are generally willing and able to cover both sides of important stories and they are not know for being inaccurate. The many attacks on their credibility have more to do with their effectiveness fighting for conservative views than any actual errors in their reporting. They are pretty good about separating opinion from reporting. We rate Breitbart as Informative.
